Margaret Kipp is primarily a watercolorist. She captures slices of life, lifting them out of the ordinary. She is particularly fascinated with details that go unnoticed, including the interplay of texture and form.

Painting outdoors and indoors, she responds to the changing light and that moment that says, "Paint Me."

Margaret Kipp has traveled extensively and painted throughout the world. Her landscapes and interiors, done either in oil or watercolor, rendered in loose, shimmering brushstrokes. Her palette is rich in mysterious earth tones, and her work is imbued with a golden glow. Kipp creates a nostalgic personal vision that the viewer responds to personally.

"Outdoor painting is challenging and exciting--Just to savor the place and its moods, whether it is in Greece, Ireland, Italy or Vermont, is wonderful." I hope to communicate to the viewer what I feel and the world I see.
